A Million Ways to Stay on the Run wins best audiobook prize at True Crime Awards 2024

W.F. Howes, RBmedia’s UK publishing brand, is proud to announce that A Million Ways to Stay on the Run by Donal MacIntyre and Karl Howman has picked up the Best True Crime Audiobook prize at the True Crime Awards 2024.

The Sunday Times bestselling book follows one of the most high-profile international manhunts in history, that of the notorious multimillionaire underworld crime boss, Kenny Noye, who became universally known as “Public Enemy: Number 1”.

Embarking on an international game of hide and seek across South America, Africa, Cuba, Holland, France and Aruba, Noye successfully managed to evade the authorities for a number of years, while enjoying a life brimming with luxury – and all the while hiding in plain sight. The book spectacularly charts his brazen adventure and battle of wits with law enforcement, and the events that led to his ultimate downfall, in thrilling and compelling fashion.

Craig Thomson, Senior Acquisitions Editor at W.F. Howes and Quest, said: “A Million Ways to Stay on the Run has been a runaway success for us and it has been taking the true crime category by storm since it was published last year. The book has everything – impeccably researched detail, a gripping, pulsating narrative, and stunning delivery by Karl, who also lends his voice to the audiobook. This prize is the perfect recognition of a genre defining title, true crime writing and narration at its best and a lot of hard work behind the scenes and we are absolutely delighted to have won once again.”
