Celebrating a Literary Triumph: Ghost Cities Wins the Miles Franklin Literary Award

We’re absolutely delighted to share the news that Ghost Cities by Siang Lu has won this year’s prestigious Miles Franklin Literary Award! This incredible achievement cements Siang Lu’s place as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary literature.

At Wavesound, we’ve had the privilege of working with Siang since his remarkable debut, The Whitewash, which took home the ABIA Audiobook of the Year Award. His latest win showcases his continued growth and undeniable talent as a storyteller.

This year’s shortlist featured some truly extraordinary works, including three other Wavesound titles:

  • Theory & Practice by Michelle de Kretser – a two-time winner of the Miles Franklin Award.
