W. F. Howes, RBmedia’s U.K. publishing brand, today celebrates its Fiction Audiobook of the Year win at the 2026 British Book Awards for Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite. The British Book Awards, widely known as The Nibbies, honour the best in U.K. publishing and bookselling each year. The 2026 winners were announced on 11 May.
Praising its “authenticity” and “richness”, judges described themselves as being “blown away” by the audio edition, hailing the narrators for creating a “deeply human” listening experience.
The highly anticipated follow-up to Braithwaite’s global bestseller My Sister, The Serial Killer, Cursed Daughters is a multi-narrator production, featuring three celebrated Nigerian voice actors—Weruche Opia, Nnei Opia Clark, and Diana Yekinni—who bring this stunning story to life.
Cursed Daughters is a captivating, dark, and wickedly funny story that follows Eniiyi, a young Lagosian woman who must shake off a curse that has plagued her family for generations.
