RBmedia Brings Long-Awaited Ninth Novel in Mega Bestselling Outlander Series to Audio

Gabaldon’s “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone” coming November 23 after seven years of anticipation

Landover, MD, November 15, 2021—RBmedia, the largest audiobook producer in the world, today announced the upcoming release of its exclusive audiobook recording of “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone,” the ninth book in Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling Outlander series. Recorded Books, RBmedia’s flagship audio brand, is the producer for all of the Outlander audiobooks, including “Bees.” With nearly 100,000 pre-orders, this hotly anticipated audiobook is poised to be an instant bestseller.

The newest Outlander audiobook follows the eighth book in the series, which was published in 2014. Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall were torn apart by the Jacobite Rising in 1746, and it took them 20 years to find each other again. Now, the American Revolution threatens to do the same in “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.”

Diana Gabaldon said, “Davina Porter’s voice has been connected to Outlander since the very first book. Many Outlander fans can’t imagine any other voice but Davina’s when they hear Claire. I’m forever grateful to Davina and Recorded Books for bringing my books to life!”

Troy Juliar, Chief Content Officer for RBmedia said, “2021 commemorates 30 years since the 1991 publication of the first Outlander book—Diana’s sweeping historical fiction of time travel, war, and romance—which inspired the bingeworthy TV series on Starz. Over the last three decades, Outlander has become a worldwide phenomenon with a following of millions of readers and listeners. We’re honored to continue as the audiobook publisher for this unforgettable series.”

“Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone” is available for preorder now on Audible, Google Play, Audiobooks.com, and many other audiobook retailers. The audiobook will be published in North America on November 23, 2021, and will be available for digital download wherever digital audiobooks are sold. W. F. Howes, RBmedia’s international publishing brand, will publish the audiobook in the UK and Australia.

Recorded Books is partnering with Random House on a special virtual event with Diana Gabaldon on Monday, November 22 celebrating all things Outlander and launching the new novel.
