Éditions Thélème to Publish French-Language Audiobook for Rebecca Yarros’ Fourth Wing

Éditions Thélème, an RBmedia international brand, has secured the French-language audio rights for Fourth Wing, the first title in American author Rebecca Yarros’ bestselling Empyrean series.
Since its original publication in May 2023, translation rights for Fourth Wing have been sold into 38 territories, it’s sold an astonishing three million copies worldwide, and has spent 40 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list—including 22 weeks at number one. Yarros’ fantasy tale follows Violet Sorrengail as she tries to survive training to become a dragon rider.
Rebecca Yarros said: “I am delighted to have Éditions Thélème on board as my French-language audio publishing partner. Audio has played such an important part of my writing journey and the popularity of this series so far. This deal will mean more people around the world can immerse themselves in the Empyrean world. I can’t wait to hear it!”
Noa Rosen, Editor at Éditions Thélème, acquired the French-language audio rights from Elisa Houot at The Seymour Agency. With Fourth Wing becoming one of BookTok’s most talked about titles and Amazon set to release the TV adaptation, this is such an exciting time to be bringing Rebecca’s work to life in audio format.”
Testament to the success of Yarros’ hugely popular fantasy-romance franchise, an Amazon Prime TV adaptation of Fourth Wing is currently in production, with future plans to also release adaptations of its sequel Iron Flame and three untitled and unpublished titles in the Empyrean series.
The French-language audiobook will be published on 7 March 2024, and is performed by actress and singer Charlotte Gagnor.
